Module 02 · AI Power User

From chatting to commanding — make AI do your work.

Module 1 taught you AI as a conversation partner. Module 2 is where AI becomes a worker — reading your files, controlling your computer, running tasks on a schedule while you sleep. Three hours, live, and you leave with working systems, not just concepts.

Outcomes · What you'll leave with

You don't leave with notes. You leave with running systems.

Cowork installed & configured

Folder access, permissions, the privacy model — set up correctly on your own machine, with your first real task already done.

3+ working workflows

Not demos you watched — workflows you built, running on your files, that you'll keep using after the room clears.

The document intelligence skill

The single highest-ROI move: upload any dense document → structured analysis in 90 seconds. Insurance policies, contracts, leases, tax docs.

A scheduled task that runs without you

A recurring workflow — weekly digest, expense categorization, file organization — that executes on a schedule while you sleep.

Dispatch from your phone

Text a request from your phone → your desktop executes it. The showstopper that makes AI feel like a team member, not a tool.

The agentic mental model

Understand the Cowork / Computer Use / scheduled-task ecosystem and where each fits — so you can build new workflows on your own.

Agenda · 7 blocks across 3 hours

Heavy on live demos and hands-on — this is a working session.

Block 1

The paradigm shiftLive demo

Chat AI vs agentic AI — what actually changed. The "wow" demo: a messy Downloads folder organized in real time, live, on screen.

Block 2

Cowork setupLive demoHands-on

Download, install, grant folder access. The permissions and privacy model explained plainly. Your first task done together.

Block 3

Document intelligenceLive demoHands-on

The highest-ROI skill in the whole curriculum. Upload → structured analysis in 90 seconds. Then you run one of your own documents through it.

Block 4

Research & synthesisLive demo

Cowork + Computer Use for web research → formatted output. Use cases for every kind of work — professional, personal, household.

Block 5

Automation2 live demos

Scheduled Tasks + Dispatch from phone. Build a recurring workflow. The showstopper: text Claude from your phone → desktop executes.

Block 6

Computer use deep dive2 live demos

Claude navigates your browser, fills forms, extracts data from sites. Honest competitive context (ChatGPT Agent Mode, Perplexity Computer).

Block 7

Build your own workflowHands-on

The capstone. You pick a real task from your week and build a working system for it. You leave with it running.

A taste of what's inside

The shift from asking to delegating.

The opening "wow" — live

01
A genuinely messy Downloads folder200+ unsorted files — PDFs, screenshots, invoices, random downloads
02
One instruction to Cowork"Organize this folder by type and date, flag anything that looks like a bill or contract"
03
Watch it work — on screen, in real timeFiles sorted, folders created, bills surfaced — no clicking, no dragging
04
The room goes quietThis is the moment people understand AI stopped being a chatbot

Chat AI vs Agentic AI

Module 1 — AI as conversation partner

You ask. It answers. You copy the answer somewhere and do the work yourself.

Module 2 — AI as worker

You delegate. It reads your actual files, does the work on your computer, and reports back. You review and approve. The work is done — not just described.
Who this is for

Anyone who wants AI to do work — not just answer questions.

Module 1 graduates

The natural next step. You know what AI is; now make it do your work. Most attendees come straight from Module 1.

Busy operators

Drowning in documents, admin, and repetitive tasks. Module 2 is where the hours-per-week savings actually start.

Document-heavy professionals

Lawyers, accountants, brokers, anyone who reads dense documents for a living. The 90-second analysis skill alone pays for the workshop.

The "I tried AI but it didn't stick" crowd

It didn't stick because chat AI needs you to remember to use it. Agentic AI runs on a schedule. That's the difference.

Module 2 questions.

Do I need to have done Module 1?

Not strictly — but you need comfort with AI chat tools (ChatGPT or Claude). If you've never used AI at all, start with Module 1; the jump straight to Module 2 is steep.

Do I need a paid Claude account?

Cowork requires Claude Pro ($28 CAD/mo). The free tier doesn't include it. We cover the upgrade live, but if you arrive with Pro already active you'll be set up faster.

Will AI have access to my private files?

You control exactly which folders Cowork can see — we cover the permissions and privacy model in Block 2 before you grant any access. Nothing happens without your explicit approval.

Is this Mac only?

No — Cowork works on Mac and Windows. Bring a laptop (not a tablet or phone) since the hands-on blocks need a real file system.

What's the difference from Module 4 (Build With AI)?

Module 2 makes AI do work for you with no code. Module 4 teaches you to build apps and tools. Module 2 is for everyone; Module 4 is for people who want to build software.

Will I actually leave with something working?

Yes — that's the design. Block 7 is a build session where you create a real workflow for a task from your own week. You leave with it running, not theoretical.

Can I do the Bundle to save money?

Yes — the Core Bundle (M1 + M2) is C$447 virtual vs C$494 bought separately. Most people take both anyway, so the bundle is the common choice.

What if the tech changes?

The workshop teaches the agentic mental model, not just today's buttons. When Cowork updates (it does, often), the concepts transfer. I re-test every demo 48 hours before each session.

This is where it gets real.

Module 1 shows you the tools. Module 2 is where AI starts saving you hours every week. Take them together as the Core Bundle for the best value — C$447, both modules, plus the 30-day implementation sequence.
